The children from Little Ridge Community School's Speech and Language Centre visited SLM Vauxhall on Tuesday as part of their Learning Journey entitled "How Shall We Get There?"
This is the second visit that SLM have hosted for the school, as last year's class enjoyed a similar visit as part of their "On the Move" topic.
The children had a great day and each received a SLM certificate for completing a tour worksheet about the daily running of the showroom, workshop, service and parts.
Class teacher Julia Bristow-Diamond said, "This was an immensely valuable learning experience for the children. They acquired first hand knowledge about the various departments and had great fun exploring the super new cars in the showroom. We are extremely grateful to Julie Parsons and SLM for providing this wonderful opportunity, for the meticulous planning that preceded our visit and for making the children and staff feel so welcome."
Julie, the Motability Specialist, who took the children around the site on both occasions, was very impressed with the children, as they were very well behaved and a joy to work with. Well done to the Pelican's Class.
