Q:For how long do I have to keep the car? A: Any vehicle purchased under the programme should be retained in the name in which it was purchased for a minimum of 6 months before it can be resold or traded in. Q: I have heard that I am entitled to a discount but which scheme am I on? A: If you work for a company within the General Motors Group, or you're receiving a retirement pension from the above companies, you can register as a Partner. If you work for a GM Retailer, you'll be eligible as a GM Retailer Partner. And if you work for a registered GM Associate Company, (e.g. EDS, ASDA or GE Capital Fleet Services), then you would register as a GM Associate Partner. If you are an eligible relative, you will assume the same status as the qualifying employee who nominated you.
Q:What happens if I die? A: Your family would only remain members of the programme if the remaining husband or wife continues to claim their spouse's GM pension. Entitlement does not automatically pass on a deceased member's children or relatives.
Q: What happens to my entitlement if I leave the company? A: If you leave the company, your eligibility ends. However, if you retain a GM pension after you have left you will remain eligible for the Partners programme, classed as a deferred pensioner. If you withdraw from the GM pension at any point after leaving you will no longer be eligible for the Partners programme.
Q: Where can I buy the car? A: Any Vauxhall Retailer will be happy to help. Simply ask your Sales Consultant. Please note, that vehicles can only be purchased in the UK, although you can purchase left-hand drive vehicles if you wish.
