Ben Nash Extends Contract With SLM Motors

SLM Toyota and Vauxhall are always keen to support the local community, which is why they have decided to renew Ben Nash’s sponsorship following his great success in 2012. Ben, 23, is enjoying an accomplished end to the golf season with the following kicking off in March. He will be heading down to Spain and Portugal in the next few months to prepare for the Tp tour, as well as the open and European qualifying rounds. He finished inside the Tp tour’s top 30 the past two years and is looking forward to building on that in the new season. Ben explains ‘I can’t thank SLM Motors enough for their help over the last year and I am delighted that SLM Toyota and Vauxhall are supporting me again for the next. The amount of support I have received is humbling. I feel that my game is improving and next year my goal is to finish inside the top ten.’ Ben’s cousin Chris Nash signed a new deal with Sussex Cricket Club at the same time, extending his contract as vice-captain until the end of the 2016 season. Chris, 29, made his debut in 2002 and was promoted to his current position at the end of 2012 under captain Ed Joyce. After storming past the 10,000 runs mark, he has decided to spend the off-season in South Africa playing for club side Western Provence. Chris explains ‘being a keen golfer myself, I follow Ben’s progress very closely. It’s exciting to see him doing so well and working hard to achieve top 10 status.’ The sportsmen’s respect for each other is mutual. ‘It’s great to see Chris as vice-captain’ says Ben, ‘he plays an important role in Sussex cricket. He also plays a lot of golf in his spare time, always giving me a good challenge. Hopefully it will be a successful summer of professional sport for both of us.’
