As the new Vauxhall Insignia becomes available, WhatCar? plan to spend six months with the older model to see how it compares.
We are excited to say that the renowned motor magazine chose SLM Vauxhall Tunbridge Wells to provide them with the vehicle after we recently won the Best Dressed Network Q Site Award and 2017 Customer Excellence Award - two accolades which emphasise our dedication to exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Our Sales Manager, Stuart Whitehand, was on hand during the handover to greet Alex and show him around the top-of-the-range Insignia Elite Nav.
The Insignia has been carefully chosen from Network Q - Vauxhall’s approved used car scheme and offers 5 doors and an extensive range of technology including an 8” colour touchscreen display, cruise control, adaptive xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control and a digital radio with Bluetooth.
The model was registered in June 2016 and has only travelled 8,700 miles, so Alex hopes this vehicle can answer two important questions:
1) Whether a nearly-new vehicle is a good alternative to a new one
2) Whether buying an ex-fleet car is a savvy move.
The extensive equipment list makes the Insignia the ultimate driving haven and Alex hopes it will make his 80-mile motorway commute each day even more enjoyable. With prospects of overseas trips into Europe later in the year, this will really put the Insignia’s cruising credentials to the test.
What’s more, this particular model also boasts a few luxurious options such as upgraded ergonomic, electronically adjustable sports seats, a heated steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors and a set of 19” alloy wheels.
Vauxhall vehicles are known for being class leaders on longer journeys, so the Insignia is sure to show off its best side throughout the long-term review.
Here at SLM Vauxhall Tunbridge Wells we hope Alex enjoys his six months with the Insignia. We are looking forward to hearing his verdict!
